The Delaware & Chesapeake Garden Railroad was established in December 2003 in Clayton, DE less than a mile from the original branch line of the Pennsylvania Railroad that ran from Clayton, Delaware to Easton, MD (later Maryland & Delaware and the Chesapeake Railroad).

The Delaware & Chesapeake Garden Railroad is the backyard G Scale creation of Jay and Taylor Davis, a father & son combination that enjoy not only the outdoors, but railroading in general.  Please feel free to stop by and visit us at one of our special open house events and by appointment!

THANK YOU!

The Delaware & Chesapeake Railroad would like to thank all of the folks that have visited us since 2003. We have had folks stop in from all over the Mid-Atlantic Region and received emails from folks from as far away as Florida. We appreciate all of your support and kind words- thanks for joining us!

We would like to thank the members of the Shore Line Garden Railroad Club for joining us as the Delaware & Chesapeake Railroad hosted the group on Sunday, June 14, 2009. This was the second time the organization has come to the Smyrna/Clayton area to view the "Best Landscaped Operation."  Please visit their website at:
Shore Line Garden Railroad Club.

The Delaware & Chesapeake was featured on the front page of the Wednesday, June 24, 2009 Edition of the Smyrna/Clayton Sun Times newspaper, as well on-line with a great story an some super pictures! Special thanks to Sun Times Editor- Ben Mace for his coverage.
